Neuro-Couple Therapy
Do you and your partner sometimes get frustrated and upset in everyday communication and need help? My partner dr Sasha Ondobaka and I work as a team to support you to increase mutual understanding and re-establish harmonious connection. As a man and as a woman, as a neuroscientist and a psychotherapist, we use our complementary knowledge and skillsets to help you understand what is going on in your body and in your mind during these stressful situations. We will also guide you in finding your way towards better communication, more acceptance, love and peace in your relationship.
01
Intro meeting
Our first session will take place between the four of us: you and your partner, as well as Sasha and myself. In this first session, we will begin to make sense together of the dynamics in your relationship. We will listen and ask you questions to clarify the situation. We will introduce our methods and lay out the plan for subsequent work. This will also be the opportunity for you to ask us questions about how we work.

Duration: 1 hour 50 minutes
Fee: £200

Individual Applied Neuroscience sessions
Each of you will individually meet with Sasha for neuroscience-focussed sessions.
Your individual behaviour is governed by your central and autonomic nervous systems. Sasha will help you understand central and autonomic functions and you will learn how the two systems interact at both conscious and unconscious levels when you are together.

Sasha will further assess your physical activity, nutritional consumption, and consumption of digital information and provide practical recommendations that will improve how your nervous systems functions.

Finally, Sasha will teach you personalised neuroscience-based techniques to calm and balance your nervous system. This will help you improve your individual as well as interpersonal experiences and bring more peace and balance in your couple.

Duration: 50 min
Fee/session: £100

Individual Embodied Psychotherapy sessions
Each of you will meet individually with me for psychotherapy sessions. This will give you the opportunity to express how you feel in your relationship, and to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your partner, so that you can communicate more authentically and more respectfully with each other.

Duration: 50 minutes
Fee/session: £100

Coming back together
By now, you will have gained a deeper understanding of yourself, your triggers, as well as their causes. You will also have learnt how to regulate and calm your nervous system. This stage will lay the fundaments for cultivating more empathy and compassion for yourselves and each other.

You will have the opportunity to practice communicating with your partner about the insights you will have gained during the previous sessions. You will explain to your partner how you feel about certain situations or behaviours, in a way that is sensitive enough for them to be able to hear. You will have the opportunity to practice truly listening to your partner and to hear how they are feeling deep down.
